Tutorial: Knitted Fur Headband

Hey, did you know that you can knit a fur headband?

To do this beautiful headband you will need:

  1. Any worsted weight yarn in the same tone as the color of the fur you will use;
  2. Real or fake fur yarn
  3. US 6 or 4 mm needle

Step 1: With the ‘regular’ yarn cast on 20 stitches.

Step 2: Work in stockinette stitch 4 rows.

Step 3: Change yarn to fur yarn and work in stockinette (not too tight) for 2 rows.

Step 4: Change yarn for ‘regular yarn’ and work on stockinette for 4 rows.

Step 5 and onwards: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have a bit less than your head circumference (the headband has to be tighter on your head and most likely it will stretch over time).

Step 6: Sew the two parts together (mattress stitch is nice, but not mandatory, since the fur covers the actual seam so it won’t be visible).

Done! You are now a Russian princess:))
