Furry knits…

At Vogue Knitting Live last year I got inspired by the multitude of kits that vendors were selling.

The truth is that is much easier to start a project if you have everything ready: yarn, needles, instructions.

I remember when I first started knitting, I had to be careful about the projects I chose because I didn’t have yarn in every weight and needles in every size. I still don’t, but my collection of yarn and needles has increased since last year.

One of the kits that I bought was from a vendor at the VKL marketplace (can’t remember the name) and included one ball of gray yarn and one ball of rabbit gray fur. There was enough yarn to make either a hat or a cowl, but unfortunately no instructions, so I went to Pinterest for some inspiration!

Some ideas of what you can do:

  1. Headbands

From these photos, I made my headband in about 1 hr, it was so simple to make and I just love it! The rabbit fur is so soft and so cozy, it keeps me warm in the Canadian winter!

2. Fur cowls and infinity scarves:

Even though you can’t probably make a cowl with one ball of yarn, it’s good to know that you can make something like this, in case you were running out of ideas! I like how these cowls are styled, worn with the oversized sweater and the big bags. Just love it. This will probably be one of the next projects to do!

Check out my collection of furry ideas in my Pinterest board and let me know which one you like?

Have you ever knitted or crocheted a fur band or collar? How are you wearing it?

Happy New Year 2018!

Happy New Year from Toronto!

How did you spend your holidays?

At this new start, I hope you can enjoy life first of all and be with your loved ones!

I also hope you have many creative ideas for this year but most of all that you will be able to put them into practice.

It’s not easy to remain focused throughout so many distractions – between social media, working on your creations and taking care of your loved ones, it’s easy to lose focus.

I know it’s hard for me but I am determined to be more consistent and focused this year.

What are your resolutions? What do you want to do this year?

All the best,
